SUPIMA AND BOFFO: Collaborations announced for Building Fashion 2011

NEW YORK—It’s back!

And it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.

Last year’s BOFFO, a Manhattan-based installation series pairing architects and fashion designers, was so successful that it’s coming back for an encore presentation.

Sponsored by Supima, of course.

The aim of BOFFO is to push the limits of non-permanent architecture and retail spaces.

Think of it as the ultimate in pop-up shops.

Registered as a nonprofit arts and culture organization, BOFFO uses temporary locations for its events and exhibitions—giving its participating artists a chance to experiment, explore, and push boundaries.

This year’s BOFFO Building Fashion will kick off with Nicola Formichetti, creative director for Mugler (and fashion friend of Lady Gaga), with a launch at 57 Walker Street in Tribeca set to open on September 1.

After that?

Look for scheduled collaborations with jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth, menswear designer Patrik Ervell, lingerie label The Lake & Stars, and womenswear star Ohne Titel.

But its initial phase has already started.

Care to make your own entry?

Go to Architzer.com or the BOFFO-NY.org to get started.

But hurry. You’ve only got three more weeks to register.
