ONE FOR THE BOOKS: Supima stunt makes PR Week ‘Book of Lists’

NEW YORK—It’s gone, but it’s not forgotten.
The cotton field that sprang up overnight in downtown Manhattan—coinciding with the opening of Supima’s pop-up store in SoHo—went into PR Week’s Book of Lists as one of that year’s “10 PR Stunts That Would Have Made PT Barnum Proud.”
Coming from PR Week, that’s quite a compliment.
Supima’s “Field of Dreams” not only stopped traffic, it became one of the city’s top tourist attractions, before disappearing as fast as it had appeared.
