Making It In America
By Marc Lewkowitz
The 4th of July holiday means beaches, BBQ’s and fireworks, all meant to celebrate the USA. For Supima, it’s the perfect time to highlight American-made brands that have a hand in bringing Supima cotton to market. From the farmers that grow American Pima cotton to the weavers and manufacturers and ultimately the brands, Grown and Sewn in America is an important story to tell. Supima cotton has always been in a unique position to touch consumers across multiple categories. From bedding and towels in the home goods market to apparel for men, women and children, our cotton touches the lives of consumers.
Together with our partners, the Supima organization drives to build awareness and educate consumers on the benefits of our cotton, all with the ultimate goal of selling our harvest. All the properties that make Supima cotton unique are communicated a multitude of ways by the brands that use our premium cotton.
With more and more consumers around the world looking for products made in the USA, brands are taking notice. Established brands are shifting more of their production to America and new brands are launching under the Made in America banner. One of the biggest growth opportunities lies in the digital world. With greater access to technology and American manufacturing, Direct to Consumer brands continue to thrive online.
