From Supima to Stardom
By CeCe Shelburne

LOS ANGELES — Hey, wait isn’t that OUR guy?
If the guy starring in the new CBS series “Moonlight,” looks familiar, it’s because you’ve already seen him starring in Supima ads in The New York Times T Magazine.
His name is Alex O’Loughlin, he’s from Australia, and he’s playing vampire Mick St. John in primetime’s latest foray into the paranormal.

An Aussie by birth, the Supima Guy ... er, O’Loughlin ... has had the lead in several horror flicks, serious stage plays, and the hit Australian mini-series “The Wonderful Journey of Mary Bryant.” Next year, he’s got a major role in a movie called Whiteout.
On “Moonlight” (not to be confused with “Moonlighting,” which made a star of Bruce Willis), he plays a gentle vampire.
Like Supima, soft but strong.
But hey, we found him BEFORE he was on CBS.
And we still think he looks better in Supima.
